Granulomatous Prostatitis is an uncommon condition and accounts for only 3.3% of all benign inflammatory lesions of the prostate. Granulomatous prostatitis (GP) is an inflammatory condition characterised by the histological presence of granulomas secondary to an infective, iatrogenic or systemic granulomatous condition. Most commonly, the condition occurs without a specific causative agent and is termed nonspecific granulomatous prostatitis (NSGP). It was first described in 1943 by Tanner and McDonald, with an estimated incidence of 0.65–1.5% of all inflammatory prostate lesions.
