Abstract

Abstract: A case of xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis is presented. It is an uncommon but
well recognised entity of chronic bacterial pyelonephritis which may easily be mistaken for renal
cell carcinoma, renal carbuncle or tuberculosis.
